Product description
ABOUT THE BOOK:- It is a 1925 novel written by American author, F. Scott Fitzgerald that follows a cast of characters living in the fictional towns of West Egg and East Egg on prosperous Long Island in the summer of 1922. The story primarily concerns the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, and his quixotic passion and obsession with the beautiful former debutante Daisy Buchanan. Considered to be Fitzgerald's magnum opus, The Great Gatsby explores themes of decadence, idealism, resistance to change, social upheaval, and excess. Today, The Great Gatsby is widely considered to be a literary classic and a contender for the title "Great American Novel". In 1998, the Modern Library editorial board voted it the 20th century's best American novel and second best English-language novel of the same. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Fitzgerald was born in 1896 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to an upper-middle-class family. His father, Edward Fitzgerald, was of Irish and English ancestry, and his mother was Mary "Molly" McQuillan Fitzgerald, an Irish immigrant. He was an American fiction writer, whose works illustrate the Jazz Age. While he achieved limited success in his lifetime, he is now widely regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century. Scott Fitzgerald spent the first decade of his childhood primarily in Buffalo, New York, occasionally in West Virginia. His formative years in Buffalo revealed him to be a boy of unusual intelligence with a keen early interest in literature. In 1911, when Fitzgerald was 15 years old, his parents sent him to the Newman School. After graduating from the Newman School in 1913, Fitzgerald firmly dedicated himself at Princeton to honing his craft as a writer. The Title 'The Great Gatsby written/authored/edited by F.
