Socio-Legal Impacts Of COVID-19: Comparative Critique of Laws in India and Nepal

After all old and tried aroaches have failed to deliver much in welfare states./&nbs;While the state should come forward with more funds for fighting against andemic situations it is the duty of the lawyers and academicians to make their resective contributions in the study of law. Julius Stone has rightly observed jurisrudence as “the lawyer’s extraversion” meaning thereby jurisrudence involves examination of recets ideals and techniques of the law by lawyers in the light of discilines other than the law. It is for this reason this branch of hilosohy aims to investigate the nature of law and its relation with human values attitudes ractices and olitical dimensions. At this backdro authors endeavour to examine the recets of the state enactments as well as the welfare functions of the state during the deadly Coronavirus lockdown. /The objective of the book is not only to exlain the sociolegal imacts and resonses to COVID19 but also the eidemic situations humans have faced earlier. A comarative study of eidemic laws of India and Neal in the light of various global recedents has been attemted in this book. We have drawn largely the legal rovisions relating to eidemic diseases in India and Neal.
