Abount the Author: "उर्दू के नौजवान शायर अमरदीप सिंह का जन्म 12 अक्तूबर, 1983 को पटियाला (पंजाब) में हुआ। शुरुआती शिक्षा के बाद उन्होंने 2004 में ग्रेजुएशन और फिर सिविल इंजीनियरिंग में डिप्लोमा किया। फ़िलहाल वो आर्किटेक्चर और भवन-निर्माण का अपना घरेलू व्यवसाय सँभाल रहे हैं। घर के अदबी माहौल में पलते हुए अमरदीप कम-उम्र में ही पंजाबी भाषा में कविताएँ और नज़्में लिखने लगे। बाद में उर्दू शायरी से प्रभावित हो कर उर्दू ज़बान को अपनी अभिव्यक्ति का ज़रिया बनाया। उन्होंने 2005 में बा-क़ायदा उर्दू ज़बान और इल्म-ए-अरूज़ में दक्षता हासिल की। उसके बाद से उनके सुख़न का सफ़र मुसलसल जारी है। इन दिनों पटियाला में रहते हैं और देश के विभिन्न मुशायरों में शिरकत करते नज़र आते हैं।"
