Priyanka Aani Don Chor

अनेक श्रीमंत कुटुंबांत मोलकरीण म्हणून काम करणारी प्रियांका आणि ती राहत असलेल्या एका निर्माणाधीन इमारतीच्या गच्चीवर बिल्डरच्या अपरोक्ष तिने भाडे घेऊन राहायला दिलेले दोन चोर अशी तीन पात्रे या नाटकात आहेत. हे तिघेही अर्थातच गरीब आहेत. छोटे आहेत. छोट्या लोकांची स्वप्नेही तशी छोटीच असतात तशीच ती या तिघांचीही आहेत. घरी महिनाभराचा किराणा भरता येणं ही प्रियांकाच्या आनंदाची परिसीमा आहे तर सोनसाखळी चोरायची असा निश्चय करणाऱ्या चोराला ती मिळत नाही ही त्या चोराच्या दुःखाची परिसीमा आहे. तिसऱ्या चोराचीही अशीच छोटोमोठी स्वप्नं आहेत. पण छोट्या लोकांच्या छोट्या अपेक्षाही नियती पूर्ण होऊ देत नाही, असा गंभीर आशय मांडणारं हे नाटक आहे. There are three characters in the play, Priyanka, who works as a maid in several rich families, and two thieves, whom she lets live on the terrace of an under-construction building where she lives by taking rent directly from the builder. All three are poor of course. are small. Small people's dreams are also small and so are these three. Being able to buy groceries for a month at home is the limit of Priyanka's happiness, while the thief who decides to steal a gold chain does not get it. The third thief has similar dreams. But this play presents a serious content that destiny does not allow even the small expectations of small people to be fulfilled.
