ABOUT THE BOOK:- This book is a Politico-Historical account of Pashtunistan and its influence on Afghan-Pak relations. Delving into the Afghan-Pak relations to study the main issues and agreements in the first two chapters, this book has also devoted a chapter to historicise the Pashtunistan issue to study the colonial past of Durand line. It has also evaluated the three perspectives of Pakistan-Afghanistan and Pashtu view on Pashtunistan. The concluding chapter discusses the contemporary relevance of Pashtunistan in Afghan-Pak relations. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Dr. Muzammil Ahad Dar (Dept. Of Politics and Int. Studies, Pondicherry University, 605014) has completed his PhD on South Asia Politics on the topic 'Pakistan Factor in India's Afghan Policy'. He has completed Post Graduation from Kashmir University 2007-08. He has published more than 12 papers in his research area and subject. He has also published a book 'Coalition Therapy for Democratic Resurgence.' He has got specialisation in South Asia Politics, India Afghan Policy, Pakistan-India-Afghan Relations, Security Complex theory, Kashmir Politics and Conflict. He was awarded with ICSSR Doctoral fellowship for his above mentioned research topic. He has also qualified the UGC-NET and SET, eligibility tests for Teaching or Assistant Professor in higher Education in India. Dr. P. Moorthy is Professor and Former Head, Department of Politics and International Studies, School of Social Sciences and International Studies, served as Dean, Students Welfare, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, who is expert in Conflict resolution, Peace and Disarmament Studies. He obtained his Ph.D from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He was visiting fellow in different Universities in USA, UK, South Korea, Sri Lanka, UAE. He has published seven books. Some of the leading books are: The Challenges of the Twenty First Century (2010), The Fall of Soviet Union and the New World (2000), Politics of Nuclear Weapon Free World (2006), Issues of the New Millennium (2008) and Contemporary Theories of International Relation (1999). He has contributed numerous articles in edited books and national and international journals. The Pondicherry University has recognized him as co-guide for Ph. D Scholars, Department of Political Science, Eastern University of Sri Lanka. At present he is Vice President of AIPSO (All India Peace and Solidarity Organization) and he was Director of an NGO, 'Science and Technology for Knowledge Society' and convener of 'Mission Develop India Net Work Group' patronized by the former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Prof. Moorthy is also coordinator of the Equal Opportunity Cell of Pondicherry University. He is also Local President for 'International Movement for World Governance' started by the 'World Parliamentarian Association', USA. Marquis's Who's Who in the World, USA has included his biography in the biographical profile of 'Distinguished World Educationists' and recognized him as one of the 'Distinguished Persons in Asia' and one of the 'Leading Intellectuals of the Twenty First Century'.
