جاوید صدیقی : معروف سکرین رائٹر، ڈراما نگار، مکالمہ نویس، خاکہ نگار اور کہانی کار ہیں۔آپ کا جنم 13 جنوری 1942ء کو رام پور کے ایک ادبی خانوادے میں ہوا۔ جاوید صدیقی کو اپنی نسل کے تمام بڑے ستاروں اور اداکاروں کے لیے لکھنے کا اعزاز حاصل ہے۔ شاہ رخ خان آغاز ہی سے انھیں اپنے لیے بخت آور مانتے آئے ہیں۔ وہ ان کے ساتھ بازی گر ، ڈر، پردیس اور دل والے دلہنیا لے جائیں گے ، جیسی کئی ابتدائی ہٹ فلموں میں کام کر چکے ہیں۔فلم اور تھیٹر کے علاوہ جاوید صدیقی نے اُردو ادب کو بھی ثروت مند کیا ہے۔ خاکے لکھے، کہانیاں بھی اور خاکہ نما بھی۔ ادب نوازوں نے ان کے خاکوں کو ہاتھوں ہاتھ لیا اور اتنی ہمت بڑھائی کہ ایک کتاب شائع ہو گئی جس کا نام "روشن دان" رکھا۔ پذیرائی اور ہمت افزائی کا سلسلہ بڑھا تو خاکوں کے دو اور مجموعے "لنگر خانہ" اور "اجالے" بھی منظر عام پر آگئے ۔جاوید صدیقی نے کہانیاں لکھیں تو پہلا مجموعہ مٹھی بھر کہانیاں “ کے نام سے منظر عام پر آیا۔مور پنکھی ان کا دوسرا اور تازہ ترین کہانیوں کا مجموعہ ہے۔

Javed Siddiqui is a renowned screenwriter, playwright, dialogue writer, sketch writer, and storyteller. He was born on 13 January 1942 in Rampur, into a literary family.Javed Siddiqui has had the distinction of writing for all the major stars and actors of his generation. Shah Rukh Khan has considered him a good-luck charm since the very beginning. He has worked with him on several early hit films such as Baazigar, Darr, Pardes, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.Apart from film and theatre, Javed Siddiqui has also enriched Urdu literature. He has written sketches, short stories, and sketch-like narratives. His sketches were warmly received by literary enthusiasts, encouraging him to publish a collection titled Roshandaan. With growing appreciation and encouragement, two more collections of sketches, Langar Khana and Ujale, were also published.When Javed Siddiqui turned to fiction, his first collection of short stories appeared under the title Mutthi Bhar Kahaniyan (A Handful of Stories).
