मेरा संबंध पंजाब के अमृतसर जिले से है। जन्म एक निम्न मध्यवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ। पढ़ने–लिखने का शौंक बचपन से ही था लेकिन अमृतसर में हिन्दी की अच्छी पुस्तकों और पत्रिकाओं का सर्वथा अभाव रहा है। शिक्षा समाप्ति पर पहली नौकरी के संबंध में अढ़ाई वर्ष चंडीगढ़ में प्रवास रहा जो जीवन का स्वर्णाकाल कहा जा सकता है। शेष कार्यकाल अमृतसर में ही पंजाब नेशनल बैंक में कार्यरत रहा और विशेष सहायक के पद से रिटायर हुआ। चंडीगढ़ में डा. जगमोहन चोपड़ा डा. अतुलवीर अरोड़ा डा. वीरेंद्र मेहंदीरत्ता पंजाबी कहानीकार जगरूप सिंह रुप सुरेन्द्र मनन और कुमार विकल जैसे महानुभावों का सानिहय और सहयोग रहा। उन्हीं दिनों कविता संग्रह “बरामदे की धूप” प्रकाशित हुआ। भिन्न–भिन्न पत्र–पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशित होने का अवसर मिला। अब दूसरी पुस्तक “मोहभंग” आपके हाथों में है। आशा है अपनी प्रतिक्रिया देंगे।/
