Kabutare – Gangadhar Gadgil

कबुतरे’ हे १९५२ साली प्रसिद्ध झालेले ‘पॉप्युलर प्रकाशना’चे पहिले पुस्तक. गंगाधर गाडगीळांसारख्या मातब्बर लेखकाच्या कथासंग्रहापासून पॉप्युलर प्रकाशनाची सुरुवात झाली. मानवी मनोव्यापार, त्याचे सूक्ष्म विश्लेषण हे गाडगीळांच्या कथेचे केंद्र आहे आणि त्यातून जाणवणाऱ्या जीवनविषयक चिंतनामुळे गाडगीळांच्या कथेला एक वेगळेच परिमाण येते. या संग्रहातील ‘कबुतरे’, ‘बिनचेहऱ्याची संध्याकाळ’, ‘मृत्यूचे संजीवन’, यांसारख्या कथांतून याचा प्रत्यय येतो. Kabutare' was the first book of 'Popular Prakashana' published in 1952. Popular publishing began with the anthologies of great writers like Gangadhar Gadgil. Human psychology, its micro analysis is the center of Gadgil's story and the reflection on life that comes from it gives a different dimension to Gadgil's story. This is evident from the stories like 'Kabatre', 'Binjehera Chi Samab', 'Mrityu Che Sanjeevan', etc. in this collection.
