ना. धों. महानोर ही गाथा एका राजाची म्हणून गात नाहीत. या गाथेतला राजा गोब्राह्मणप्रतिपालक अशी बिरुदावली मिरविणारा राजा नाही. तो आपला शिवबा शिवराय असा जवळिकीचा राजा आहे. त्याचे राज्य हे मराठी रयतेचे राज्य आहे. त्याचा जयजयकार हा रयतेचा जयजयकार आहे. ही गाथा केवळ एका कुलवंत राष्ट्रपुरुषाची नाही. ती महाराष्ट्राची, महाराष्ट्राच्या जिवंत इतिहासाची गाथा आहे. तशीच ती ‘ओंकाराच्या गाभाऱ्यातील नितळ तेजाची’ गाथा आहे. या गाथेला जनाधार आहे आणि त्यातून येणारी आध्यात्मिक उंची आहे. महानोरांच्या या कवनात गेल्या अनेक पिढ्यांच्या शिवशाहीरांचे प्रतिध्वनी निनादत असलेले ऐकू येतात. no wash Mahanor does not sing this saga about a king.
