فتوح البلدان یعنی شہروں کی فتوحات، عربی زبان کی کتاب ہے۔جس میں غزوات رسول ﷺ سے لے کر شام ،مصر، سندھ ،عراق اور فارس کی فتوحات کی تفصیل درج ہے۔اس کتاب کے مصنف ابوالحسن احمد بن یحیٰ بن جابر المعروف علامہ بلاذری ہیں۔جنھوں نے دراصل "البلدان الکبیر" کو مختصر "فتوح البلدان "سے پیش کیا ہے۔جس میں مصنف نے "مسلمانوں کے تمام غزوات جو عہد نبوی ﷺ سے مصنف کے زمانے تک"کے واقعات وحالات بیان کیے ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ اس عہد کے تاریخی ،جغرافیائی حالات اور خلفائے کے حالات بھی موجود ہیں۔سب سے اہم جو اس کتاب کے مستند اور اہم بنانے والی یہ ہے کہ مصنف نے ہر جگہ خود سفر کر کے حالات کو تحریر کئے ہیں۔ یہ کتاب دوجلدوں پر مشتمل ہے۔ زیر نظر جلد اول ہے۔
