زیر نظر کتاب 'فتاوی ہندیہ' جو فتاوی عالمگیری کے نام سے مشہور ہے۔ چونکہ یہ کتاب اورنگزیب عالم گیر کے حکم پر تالیف کی گئی اس لئے ہندوستان میں یہ کتاب 'فتاوی عالمگیری' کے نام سے مشہور ہے۔ یہ ہدایہ کے بعد فقہ حنفی کی سب سے مستند کتاب ہے۔ اس کتاب کو اس زمانے کے مستند علما کی ایک بڑی جماعت نے مل کر ترتیب دیا ہے۔ یہ کتاب عربی زبان میں ہے، استفادہ عام کے لئے اس کے کئی زبانوں میں تراجم ہوئے، چنانچہ اردو میں اس کا پہلا ترجمہ سید امیر علی نے کیا ہے، جو ہماری زیر نظر ہے۔ آٓغاز کتاب میں مترجم نے ایک مبسوط اور مفصل مقدمہ تحریر فرمایا ہے، جو بے شمار معلومات پر مشتمل ہے۔ یہ ترجمہ دس جلدوں پر مشتمل ہے۔ ترجمہ کا املا قدیم ہے، لیکن زبان مسائل کی تفہیم میں رکاوٹ نہیں بنتی۔
