Kanta Kataria in her present work states that Ambedkar’s vision of nation-building is of abiding interest, which perhaps has been paid scant attention by the scholars. Defending the logic of Ambedkar, she argues that unless the infallibility of the Vedas is not discarded and the Varna system is not completely uprooted, it would not be possible to create social solidarity and psychological unity among the people. No strong and vigorous nation-building is possible, unless the primacy of Man, rationality and social justice is recognized; and a new social order based on liberty, equality and fraternity is ushered in. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Kanta Kataria is Professor of Political Science, J N Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). She possesses an outstanding academic career obtaining Gold Medal in M.A.; Ph. D., and D. Litt. degrees. She participated in the 24th International Political Science Association (IPSA) World Congress held at Poznan (Poland) in July, 2016. She has four books to her credit, besides 35 research papers published in reputed journals. She is the member of various statutory and academic bodies of the University.
