Phil form the Department of African Studies, Faculty of Arts, Delhi University, and her topic of research was The Role of Political Party in New South Africa. Presently she is pursuing her Ph. D in/from the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi and her topic of research is A Study of Dalit Legislature in Uttar Pradesh Assembly, 1997-2002. Meena has taught at different colleges of Delhi University like Zakhir Hussain, Post Graduated Evening College, D.U., Vivekanand College, D.U. She has also taught at IGNOU, centre at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, D.U. Since 2001 to 2004 she has taught at the various centres of Non Collegiate Women Education Board.
