ABOUT THE AUTHOR Author Mr. Ashok M. Gadkari who is B.A. (Economics) LL.B. Degree of University of Bombay. He was working in the International bank and has successfully completed Banking examination of Indian Institute of Bankers and also Institute of Bankers, London and is associates of these both institutes known as CAIIB and AIB (London). Author Joined National & Grindlays Bank in 1961. He assumed the responsibility of foreign exchange dealing operations and Government securities operations. He also worked as Chief Compliance Manager and handled Mutual Fund operations, custodian operations, credit operations and foreign exchange operations under Exchange control regulations. He also worked as a Project Manager for automating foreign dealing operations and Government securities dealing operations and installed both automated systems successfully. He was a Faculty Member in International Trading Centre of Grindlays Bank and was giving presentations to Bourse Course Participants on FCCL accounting and also doing auditing of books of accounts of Bourse Course Participants. He also completed the Bourse Course successfully which is brain storming course for 45 days. He took voluntary retirement in December 1999. He then joined Times Bank in January 2000 as an Assistant Vice President and assumed the mid office responsibilities of foreign exchange operations successfully. He was I Times Bank for 15 months. He then joined Thomas Cook as a Consultantto establish Mid Office of foreign exchange dealing operations. After retirement, he also did social work and worked since 2004 as Treasurer, Hon.
