About The Author:- Eddie James Girdner was inculcated into the idiocy of rural life at an early age in North Missouri. After his Great Escape to the University of Missouri, and a degree in Physics, he served as an American Peace Corps Volunteer in Punjab, India (1968-1970), then became a sailor in the US Navy for five years. He earned a doctorate degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has taught political science in the United States, Cyprus and Turkey for more than twenty-five years. He is the author of several books, including Killing Me Softly: Toxic Waste, Corporate Profit and the Struggle for Environmental Justice (2003); USA and the New Middle East (2 0 0 8 ) ; S o c i a l i s m , S a r v o d a y a a n d Democracy (2013); and Global Political Economy (2014). He has also written two novels, Sweet Home, Mississippi and The Business Model. He lives in Fethiye and Izmir Turkey.
