बिनमौजेच्या गोष्टींमधली वेगळीच मौज शोधणारे, आपली स्वतंत्र तिरकस लेखनशैली निर्माण करणारे श्याम मनोहर हे महत्त्वाचे नाटककार. नाट्यतंत्राच्या आहारी न जाता ते मोकळेपणाने पण उपहासाने, वेगळ्या निरीक्षण शक्तीने आशय अधोरेखित करतात. ही मनोहारी शैली नाट्य दिग्दर्शकाला एक आव्हानच ठरते. त्यांची हृदय आणि यळकोट ही दोन नाटकं दिग्दर्शित करण्याची संधी मला मिळाली. Shyam Manohar is an important dramatist who finds fun in the funless things and creates his own slanted style of writing. Without resorting to theatrics, they underline the content with an open but ironic, distinct observational power. This charming style is a challenge for the theater director. I got an opportunity to direct two of his plays Hriday and Yalkot.
