About The Book: The Hindu philosophy is based on concise Aphorisms, which are often challenging to understand without commentary. These Aphorisms aim to aid the memory of those already familiar with the doctrine rather than directly convey it. While they serve this purpose well, their inherent brevity can make them obscure to the uninitiated. Therefore, there's a need for accurate translations of these Aphorisms along with explanatory gloss to make them comprehensible. The Benares Sanskrit College's English-learning pandits will review these translations, aiming to correct any errors and shed light on the philosophical terminology of the East compared to the West. The initial translation of Yoga Aphorisms seeks feedback for improvement.
