‘हे ईश्वरराव हे, पुरुषोत्तमराव’, ‘शीतयुद्ध सदानंद’, ‘खूप लोक आहेत’, ‘उत्सुकतेने मी झोपलो’, ‘खेकसत म्हणणे आय लव्ह यू’ या मराठी गद्याच्या मापदंडमालिकेतली पुढची निर्मिती म्हणजे ‘शंभर मी’. ही शंभर ठिपक्यांची रांगोळी आहे. त्यात वाचकांनी आपल्या कल्पनेने रेषा जोडून रंग भरायचे आहेत. या पुस्तकात श्याम मनोहरांची भूमिका आर्किटेक्टची आहे. त्यांनी दिलेल्या आराखड्यातून आणि स्पेक्समधून आपल्या बुद्धीनुसार वाचकांनी वास्तुनिर्मिती करायची आहे. या पुस्तकात श्याम मनोहरांनी सर्वस्वी वेगळ्या उपायाचा अवलंब केला आहे. इथे बर्याच ठिकाणचा मुख्य मजकूरच जाणीवपूर्वक डिलीट केला आहे आणि केवळ कथनपूर्व मजकूर आणि कथनोत्तर मजकूर ( प्रि टेक्स्ट आणि पोस्ट टेक्स्ट) वाचकांच्या हाती सोपवला आहे. कित्येक वेळा टेक्स्टलेसनेसचा (मजकूरविहीनतेचा) चक्रावून टाकणारा अनुभव वाचकाला देणारा मराठीतला हा एक अनोखा प्रयोग आहे. 'Hey Eshwar Rao Hey, Purushottam Rao', 'Shityuddh Sadananda', 'Khoop Lok Hai', 'Usukutene Mi Zoplo', 'Kheksat Saying I Love You' is the next production in the Marathi prose standard series 'Shambhar Me'. This is a hundred dot rangoli. Readers have to color it by connecting the lines with their imagination. In this book, Shyam Manohar plays the role of an architect. From the plans and specs given by him, the readers have to construct the architecture according to their own wisdom. In this book, Shyam Manohar has adopted a completely different solution. Here the main text in many places has been deliberately deleted and only pre-narrative text and post-narrative text (pre-text and post-text) have been handed over to the readers. This is a unique experiment in Marathi that gives the reader a bewildering experience of textlessness many times.
