Ravi Kumar is an officer in the Indian Administrative Service of Jharkhand cadre. He did his Bachelor of Engineering at M.S. University, Tirunelveli, Master of Business Laws at National Law School of India University, Bangalore and presently, pursuing his Ph.D at Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram, Tamil Nadu. He worked at private sector in power generation and then moved to Army Headquarters and Ordnance Factories, Ministry of Defence, Government of India through engineering service before joining Indian Administrative Service in 2004. He worked as Deputy Commissioner of four districts; Sahibganj, Pakur, Deoghar and Godda districts including naxalism affected areas in Jharkhand. His research papers were published in national journals and he received many awards including Director's Gold Medal in Public Administration and Akshar Ratna award from ADRI, Ranchi for contribution in adult literacy programme. He is interested in sports and sports administration. His love for poor's education and quality of education motivated him to write this Book and this is his first book in a simple and lucid style.
