Shabnam Ashai is an acclaimed Urdu poet, scholar, and broadcaster. She earned her Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University, where her research focused on Existentialism. She has authored several scholarly works on the subject and is professionally associated with Radio Kashmir Srinagar.A distinctive voice in contemporary Urdu poetry, Shabnam Ashai has published six poetry collections, including Akeli, Main Sochti Hoon, Manbani, Catharsis, and Man Mein Jami Barf.
