It discusses all the simmering separatists, extremists, terrorists' movements and insurgencies in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the much-debated autocratic democracy in Maldives. It adopted different approaches to develop an understanding of the existing internal crises from various angles. South Asia's existing internal crisis are deep rooted in its turbulent and unfinished process of state building, unsettled social equations and political hierarchies' assertion for identity and autonomy on the basis of ethnic, linguistic, religious and cultural; and ownership of the territories that sharpen the ethnic and sectarian violence and defies all attempts of stabilisation. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Dr. Madhu Kumari, Associate professor of Political Science, continuously involves in research works and as an author, she has many books to her credit: Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore and Ambedkar- Ek Chintan; Political Theory and Indian Political System; “Society, State and Government-Indian Constitution and “Political Science Manual”. Her recently published book is “Continuing Gender Gap in contemporary India: Issues and Challenges” (2017). In 2004, She was awarded by Savitri Bai Phule Fellowship Award for her academic excellence by Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Academy, New Delhi and Parliamentary Fellowship for her work on “Indian Constitution and Special Provisions regarding Certain Special Classes” by Institution of Constitutional and Parliamentary studies, New Delhi. She participated and represented India at in several International Seminars and conferences held in the United states of America, Canada and Argentina. She has to her credit several published paper in leading national and international journals in the area of Regional politics, Global Governance, BRICS and various contemporary issues of Indian Politics.
