Hindu : Jaganyachi Samruddh Adgal

कित्येक शतकांपूर्वी सिंधु नदीच्या तीरावर आर्यांच्या आगमनाबरोबर एका संस्कृतीची पाळेमुळे रुजली आणि नंतरच्या काळात संपूर्ण भारतीय उपखंडात ‘हिंदू संस्कृती’ म्हणून ती अनेक अंगांनी बहरली. वेगवेगळ्या काळातील समाजरचनेच्या गरजांनुसार आणि अनेक विचारवंत, तत्त्वज्ञ यांनी मांडलेल्या तात्त्विक विचारधारांमुळे यात नवनवी भर पडत गेली, बदल होत गेले. संस्कृतीची मूळ बैठक कायम राहिली तरी येणारी प्रत्येक नवीन विचारधारणा सामावून घेण्याच्या प्रवृत्तीमुळे संस्कृतीची वीण बहुरंगी होत गेली आणि रूढी, परंपरा, श्रद्धा-अंधश्रद्धा, चालीरीती, परस्पर नातेसंबंध, कुटुंबव्यवस्था यांचा एक पट निर्माण होत गेला. शतकानुशतके या संस्कृतीने माणसाचे अवघे जीवन व्यापून टाकले. या संस्कृतीचा सगळा पसारा, अनेक चांगल्या-वाईट गोष्टींची ही अडगळच माणसाचे आयुष्य समृद्ध करीत असते. म्हणूनच ही ‘जगण्याची समृद्ध अडगळ’ असे भालचंद्र नेमाडे यांनी म्हटले आहे. या ‘समृद्ध अडगळी’चे चकित करून सोडणारे सुरम्य दर्शन ‘हिंदू : जगण्याची समृद्ध अडगळ’ या कादंबरीतून घडते. जीवनाची व्यापकता, व्यामिश्रता यांचे दर्शन घडवणे जसे महाकाव्याकडून अपेक्षित आहे तसेच ते कादंबरीकडूनही अपेक्षित असते. ही कादंबरी ही अपेक्षा पूर्ण करते. That is why Bhalchandra Nemade has said that it is a 'rich obstacle to life'. The astonishing picturesque view of this 'Smriddha Aadgali' takes place in the novel 'Hindu : Jagani Samridha Aadgal'. To show the breadth and complexity of life as expected from an epic poem is also expected from a novel. This novel fulfills this expectation.
