व्यक्तिनिष्ठ, समाजनिष्ठ (वस्तुनिष्ठ), समूहनिष्ठ अशा कोणत्याही साच्यात न सामावणे ही तेंडुलकरांच्या नाटकांची प्रकृती आहे. म्हणूनच त्यांच्या नाट्यकृतींत संमिश्र स्वरूपाची जीवनचित्रे निर्माण झालेली दिसतात. कुटुंबजीवन हा ज्यांचा मूलाधार आहे, अशी काही नाटके तेंडुलकरांनी लिहिली आहेत. पण त्यांत जराही पुनरावृत्ती दिसत नाही. प्रत्येक नाटकात कौटुंबिक पार्श्वभूमी कौटुंबिक संस्कृती या गोष्टी वेगवेगळ्या आहेत. ‘घरटे आमुचे छान’ हे नाटकही कौटुंबिक पार्श्वभूमी असलेलं तेंडुलकरांचे महत्त्वाचे नाटक आहे. It is the nature of Tendulkar's plays not to fit into any mould, whether individualistic, socialistic (objective), collectiveistic. That's why in his dramas, life pictures of a mixed nature can be seen. Tendulkar has written some plays which have family life as its main theme. But there is no repetition in it. Family background and family culture are different in each play. The play 'Gharte Amuche Chant' is also an important play of Tendulkar's family background.
