About The Author:- K. Venugopal Reddy, is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of History, Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry. He obtained his M.A. and M.Phil from University of Hyderabad and Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He had qualified in the UGC. NET and received UGC Research Associateship in History. He has several years of teaching and research experience and attended various national and international conferences and seminars. He published three books, Class Colonialism and Nationalism in Madras Presidency, 1928-1939 (2002) and Working Class and Freedom Struggle, 1918-1922 (2005), and Dominance and Resistance in Colonial India (2012), (Edited) and several research articles in highly reputed national journals. He organised various National Seminars on diverse themes in Modern Indian History. He is a member of professional bodies and societies and possesses several years of experience at guiding students for research in Modern Indian History.
