किरण नगरकर यांनी महाभारतातील निरनिराळे प्रसंग घेऊन ते आजच्या अत्याधुनिक, विद्रोही दलित साहित्याची जी भाषा रूढ झाली होती ती – अत्यंत रांगडी, रोखठोक, सुसंस्कृत मनाला बीभत्स वाटावी अशी पण आशयाला थेट जाऊन भिडणारी – भाषा संबंध नाटकभर वापरली आणि ती महाभारतातल्या वंदनीय व्यक्तींच्या तोंडी घातली. पण नाटककाराला महाभारतकारांना काही मूलगामी प्रश्न विचारायचे होते आणि त्याने ते बेधडकपणे विचारले. मला नाटक फार आवडले. अत्यंत पाखंडी आणि स्फोटक असे या नाटकाचे थोडक्यात वर्णन करता येईल. Kiran Nagarkar has taken various events from the Mahabharata and used the language that has become the norm in today's modern, rebellious Dalit literature - very creepy, hard-hitting, repulsive to the cultured mind but directly confronts the content - throughout the play, and put it in the mouths of the venerable characters of the Mahabharata. But the playwright wanted to ask the Mahabharata writers some radical questions, and he asked them fearlessly. I liked the play very much. The play can be briefly described as highly heretical and explosive.
