However, this is because the district primarily consists of two towns, Gaulhiati and Barpeta, which have already been thoroughly described. Given that many villages share similar characteristics, providing detailed descriptions for each would not be warranted. Nevertheless, the Gazetteer does include the names of all significant villages, whether they serve as trade centers or specialize in specific industries.
