About The Book: Our Church's work in India is itself wider. We send chaplains to the Scoto Indian as well as missionaries to the Indian; and both these activities are referred to here. There are 20 chaplains ministering to our own people, while 73 missionaries, men and women, and 383 Indian Christian workers, are engaged in the Missions of our Church. But in truth the work of all is one work wherever it is faithfully done, for the common object of the workers is to hold up Christ before the eyes of India, that men of the East and of the West alike may worship Him, and in Him find their true and lasting unity.
