ABOUT THE BOOK The Ship of Life sails from Port to port. the journey adds passengers, stories and experiences unique to each individual. It is the first volume that chronicles the anecdotes shared between three generations of the author's family. The anecdotes make leaders and historical people human instead of distant cardboard figures that led the nation. Each of the anecdotes is contextualised in the historical background of the times, in order to better explain and understand the yester-years. The book is divided into two sections, these sections are based on the broad contours of socio-political heritage, as a form of living memory. The second section of the book is about Presidents, Prime Ministers and visiting dignitaries 'The Russian Encounter', draw the attention of the reader. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Aparna Joshi is a Writer, Researcher and keen Traveller, whose travels within India and overseas, in the U.K, Austria, Germany, France, Italy and Spain drew her to ancient sites, monuments, museums and places of worship. A visit to the Peace Palace at The Hague led to the publication of her first book on Kindle, 'The ICC comes of Age at 18', tracing the establishment of the International Criminal Court on 1st July 2002 at The Hague under the Statute of Rome, now adopted by 129 countries in November 2019, on the 5th of September 2020, she completed her Second book on Kindle called 'India and Her Neighbours: Past, Present and Future'. This book explores India's Foreign Policy, its equation with her many Neighbours. Her papers have been published on Research Gate.net and Academia.
