This book has been a great purchase to aid my purpose, and acted as an ally for my journey in learning Urdu vocabulary.Once I discovered it, I found Urdu poetry, literature and music magnetic, which lit an intense desire to dive more into it. For understanding shayaris and qawaalis, and for writing poems in Urdu i needed a book which could introduce me to the vocabulary. This book works really well for someone who knows Hindi well, and wants to learn Urdu. The book is so nicely divided into subjects, endowed with great way for explanations with concluded shabdaavalis. But personally , there is so much to learn in this book for it's so rich-making one understand how some words developed from their origins, to mentioning various ghazals, nazms, films to make reader grasp the vast aspects and feelings linked with the words. So concluding it up, this book is great for someone who has an interest in Urdu, and it is not a kind of novel but still works revolutionarily in your learning journey if you invest time in it,read it slow, with an intent to grasp every part of it.
In on line rekhta dictionary, I read a word मम्मलत ए खुदा दाद , a god gifted country, means Pakistan. Pakistani themselves don't consider that it's a God gifted country. You still show your affiliation with Pakistan.
