Talavatala Chandana

‘तलावातलं चांदणं’ हा गंगाधर गाडगीळ यांचा कथासंग्रह प्रथम प्रकाशित झाला १९५४ साली. गाडगीळांच्या कथालेखनाच्या पहिल्या आणि जोमदार बहराच्या काळातल्या बारा कथांचा हा संग्रह प्रथम प्रकाशित झाला तेव्हा नवकथाकार म्हणून तयार झालेली गाडगीळांनी प्रतिमा अधिकच झळाळून उठली. या संग्रहातील कथांचे आणि त्यांच्या एकत्रित संग्रहाचे रसायन असे काही जमून आले आहे की आज अर्धशतकाहून अधिक काळ लोटल्यावरही या पुस्तकाचा समावेश मराठीतील श्रेष्ठ पुस्तकांमध्ये केला जातो. आजही वयाने ज्येष्ठ असलेल्या वाचकाला पुन्हा पुन्हा वाचावा अशी ओढ लावणारा हा संग्रह तरुण वाचकांनाही आकर्षित करतो यातच या संग्रहाचे साफल्य आहे. ‘तलावातलं चांदणं, ‘भागलेला चांदोबा’, ‘सरळ रेषा’, ‘अखेरचं सांगणं’ अशा गाडगीळांच्या काही गाजलेल्या कथा या संग्रहात वाचायला मिळतील.
