ABOUT THE BOOK Anthropology is the study of humankind on the basis of their past and present habitation. It examines the cultures of human society and how we all came to be where we are. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Milonjyoti Borgohain is presently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Anthropology, Moridhal College, Dhemaji, Assam. He did his M.A. (2012) and M.Phil. (2019) degrees in Physical Anthropology from Dibrugarh University, Assam and Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh respectively. He did two years post graduate diploma in Disaster Management under Dibrugarh University, Assam in 2010. He has published various research papers in national and international journals. His areas of interest are overweight, obesity and its covariates, human growth and development, indigenous health practices, bio-social studies, migration. He has completed one minor research project under UGC. Dhritiman Sharma is presently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology, Rajiv Gandhi University (a central university), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He received his M.A. (2004) and Ph.D. (2010) degrees in Archaeological Anthropology from Gauhati University, Assam respectively. He has published 3 books and more than 20 original research papers in various reputed national and international journals. His research interest areas includes Beads, Megaliths, Neolithic cultures, Ethno archaeology. He also received his L.L.B. degree under Gauhati University in 2007.
