Sanjya Chhaya

परदेशी असलेली मुलं आणि एकाकी आयुष्य कंठणारे त्यांचे आईवडील ही आता सर्वसामान्य गोष्ट झाली आहे. ती स्वीकारण्यावाचून गत्यंतर नाही. मग यावर उपाय काय? तर स्वत:ला आपल्या आवडीच्या कामात, छंदात गुंतवून घेणं. त्यातही निवृत्तिपश्चातचं आयुष्य अभावग्रस्तांच्या, रंजल्यागांजल्यांच्या जीवनात चार सुखाचे क्षण निर्माण करण्यासाठी कारणी लावले तर? तर त्याच्याइतकं परमसुखाचं, कृतार्थ समाधानाचं दुसरं आनंदनिधान नसेल! याचा अर्थ मुलांमध्ये गुंतायचंच नाही, त्यांच्यावर मायेची पाखर घालायचीच नाही असा नाही. पण त्यांच्यात इतकंही गुंतून राहू नये, की जेणेकरून आपलं आयुष्य नरकवत बनेल. ‘संज्या छाया’ मधलं संज्या हे पात्र मंत्रालयातील निवृत्त उपसचिव आहे. तर त्यांची पत्नी छाया ही महिला बचत गटाच्या साहाय्याने जेवणाचे डबे बनवून देण्याचा उपक्रम राबवते. त्यांचा ‘हॅपीनेस सेंटर’ नावाचा ग्रुप आहे. त्यात निरनिराळ्या क्षेत्रांतील निवृत्त मंडळी आहेत; जी सर्वसामान्यांची मंत्रालय, सरकारी खाती, पोलीस, न्यायालयीन कज्जे, आरोग्यसेवा वगैरे क्षेत्रांतील गरजू, गरीब नाडलेल्यांना मदतीचा हात देतात. त्यांच्या समस्या सोडविण्यासाठी मदत करतात. आपल्या उर्वरित आयुष्याचा हेतू त्यांना सापडला आहे. मुलंबाळं, त्यांच्या समस्या यांत स्वत:ची फरफट करवून घेण्यापेक्षा आपल्याला समाधान देईल, मन आनंदानं गुंतून राहील अशा कामांत ही मंडळी बिझी आहेत. पण याचा अर्थ त्यांना व्यक्तिगत समस्या नाहीत का? तर आहेत! त्या ते कशा हाताळतात, हे या नाटकातच वाचणं इष्ट ! Children who are foreigners and their parents living lonely lives are now commonplace. There is no movement to accept it. So what is the solution? So involve yourself in your favorite work, hobby. Also, if the post-retirement life is used as a reason to create four happy moments in the lives of the poor and the needy? So there will be no other source of happiness and grateful satisfaction like him! This doesn't mean not engaging with children, not ravishing them. But don't get so involved in them that your life becomes hell. Sanjya in 'Sanjaya Chhaya' is a retired Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Education.
