फूटपायरीवर जगणाऱ्यांचे जीवन हा सर्वसामान्य माणसाला थोडीशी चीड आणणारा विषय असला तरी विजय तेंडुलकरांनी त्यांच्या जीवनातले गांभीर्य वेगळ्याप्रकारे या वगनाट्यातून साकारले आहे. रोज सकाळी उठल्यानंतर ‘आपण जिवंत आहोत’ याच आनंदात जगणाऱ्या या रस्त्यावरच्या माणसांची श्रीमंतीची स्वप्ने आणि त्या निमित्ताने तेंडुलकरांनी घडवलेले बजबजपुरीचे दर्शन नकळत आपल्या सभोवतालच्या समाजाचेच प्रतिबिंब बनते.
