समकालीन कवितेपेक्षा दिनकर मनवर यांच्या कवितेचा ‘स्वर’ वेगळा आहे, तो एवढ्याचसाठी की मानवी अस्तित्वाच्या आदिम प्रेरणेतून आलेली भुकेची तीव्र जाणीव आणि व्यवस्थेकडून ‘स्व’ नाकारला जाण्याची दुखरी सल या कवितेतून अतिशय प्रभावीपणे प्रगट झाली आहे. ही संवेदना नव्वदोत्तर कवितेत अभावानेच आढळते. The 'tone' of Dinkar Manwar's poetry is different from that of contemporary poetry, only because the intense sense of hunger that comes from the primal drive of human existence and the rejection of 'self' by the system is very effectively expressed in this poem. This feeling is absent in post-nineties poetry.
