About The Book: The book focuses on the flora of the Punjab region, encompassing the territory that stretches from the northern boundary of Sindh and Marwar, specifically Jesalmer, to the foothills of the Himalayas, following the course of the Indus River to the outskirts of the Gangetic Plain. Sindh, as a province, extends from the southern coastline to the northern borders adjoining the Punjab. To the west, it is bordered by the Baluchistan mountains, and to the east, it seamlessly transitions into the Marwar desert. The author conducted a thorough comparison of his plant collection with the specimens in the Kew Herbarium. The inclusion of Sindh's flora is primarily based on the insights provided by Stocks, Vicary, Frere, and Griffith. Additionally, the distribution of various plant species into regions such as the superior Gangetic Plain, Kumaun, Shimla, Jammu, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan has been meticulously documented.
